The Angels Honoured by Lord Mayor

Written by on Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Last week The Angels were received by the Lord Mayor of Adelaide who honoured the band in a fashion not seen since The Beatles had their turn. Here are the pictures of the boys, their fans and the Lord Mayor. Well done, gentlemen, we can't express enough how proud we are!

What a life changing experience, thanks to all involved. To have Doc & the Hon Lord Mayor standing inside the door, personally greeting us all, thanking US for coming, shaking our hands, was unbelievable. We should have been bowing down applauding THEM for having us there. Then the whole band, dignitaries, family & friends of the band, the band members themselves and fans all mingled like a group of old friends. That night, and the best gig ever the following night, and my wonderful FB friends (some of whom are shown with me in photo 12 (we flew from all over Australia to be there) made for a weekend that can never be beaten. NOW for a statue of The Angels in Adelaide. We have one of Bon Scott in Perth, The Angels have been Adelaide's biggest export, best ambassadors around the world for 35 years and are the best guys you could ever meet. A Statue to honour them is warranted.
Doc, Rick, John, Buzz & Chris I am honoured to have met you all and been treated like a friend. See you all in Hobart & Launceston.
