Michael Hutchence
[slider title="View"]
‘Michael Hutchence’ was the first full length solo release from the charismatic INXS front man…
Produced by Danny Saber (Black Grape) and Andy Gill (Gang Of Four), the album is an intensely personal release that is recognised as being as dark and mysterious as Hutchence’s untimely death.
With the funky, soulful tracks and pleading vocals, it’s hard to miss the dire, insistent nature of Michael’s lyrics – his sultry voice booms as he sings about his lack of privacy, the pressures of fame and, more often, the search for redemption.
The album was written and recorded over two years with the collaboration of Danny Saber (U2, The Rolling Stones, Black Grape), former Gang of Four guitarist Andy Gill and the Bomb the Bass member/producer Tim Simenon. Two tracks on the album were mixed by Tim Palmer (Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam).
Tracks on the album include guest performances from ex-Clash singer Joe Strummer (“Let Me Show You”), backing vocals from Denise Johnson (Primal Scream) and Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones) and a special and moving duet with Bono (“Slide Away”).

COG
[slider title="View"]
The long awaited sophomore album by Sydney based band Cog; Sharing Space, has been received with national acclaim, reaching number two on the Aria charts.
Hard working band members Flynn Gower, Lucius Borich and Luke Gower are currently playing across Australia having recently returned from a successful tour of the UK. Rave Magazine has characterised the music of Sharing Space as “chest beating epics and art rock experiments”. Their rhythms are punchy; the guitar work is electric with the result propelling Cog as one of Australia’s most successful and celebrated rock bands.
Cog’s music has been described by Rolling Stone magazine as “an uncompromising sound that’s both shit heavy and sonically smart” and by Drum Media as “fully blown rock’n'roll… capable of creating moods and sounds that others merely dream of”.
The hype is justified and the album has been recommended by Drum Media as the Album of the week and by the Sunday Telegraph as a “must listen”.

Regular John

The Sydney foursome’s debut album, The Peaceful Atom Is A Bomb – which Rolling Stone magazine has already dubbed “the perfect distillation of everything good that’s happened since rock found a heavy, fuzzy imagination in the late Sixties” – is the culmination of two intense years of hard living, hard partying and – more than anything – fucking hard work.
“jump on board now because this band is going places.”

MaxQ
[slider title="View"]
Max Q, consisting of INXS front man Michael Hutchence with Ollie Olsen, Arne Hanna, Michael Sheridan, Bill McDonald, Gus Till and John Murphy, released their critically acclaimed self-titled album in 1989.
Max Q, essentially the side project of Michael Hutchence, never played any live shows but had hits with their songs ‘Sometimes’ and ‘Way of the World’
The result of Hutchence and Ollie “throwing ideas at each other”, as Hutchence stated, was the creation of tracks that are quite political and often perceived as verging on rebellious.

The Snowdroppers
[slider title="View"]
The Snowdroppers came together in the third quarter of 2007, a group of messed up misfits with one thing in common; the desire to introduce the blues to a new generation of fans.
Realising they were in fact four clean-limbed honkeys and not beer soaked blues hounds (not yet) they decided to mix things up a little, which seemed to work in their favour, as their first ever show drew 1300 paying audience members.
Of the 1300, only half asked for their money back – thanks in part, to their ribald songs about fornication and intoxication, and by drawing inspiration from the blues and rock masters and Americana Alt Country hot spots.

Mink
[slider title="View"]
Formed back in 2006, Neal, Stella, Nick and Grant AKA, Mink, have already written over 60 songs, recorded their debut album (in just four weeks), had another song “Pressure Pressure” featured nightly in ESPN’s 2006 Major League baseball playoffs coverage, and have established themselves as one of the most exciting new live acts on the scene both in their own club shows and opening big-venue concerts by Angels, KISS and Airwaves among others.
The first single, “Talk to Me,” has been spinning on over 50 Alternative and modern rock stations across the US and their sound is as creative and diverse as some of the greatest rock legends.
On “Dematerialize,” Neal flashes the arid bite of a Mick Jagger or Lou Reed, while “Pills” has choruses comparable to David Bowie at his Ziggy Stardust rocking-est.
Mink are applauded for their determination and commitment to their music. “We’re totally ready,” says MINK singer Neal.
“To play until the end of time,” drummer Stella continues, “Until the end of the universe.”
